Obituary

Charles S. Parker was born April 23, 1947 to Martha D. Parker and Cleveland Parker in Birmingham, Alabama. He was baptized at the Galilee Baptist Church and attended Birmingham City Schools. Drafted at an early age into the United States Army, where he served eight years.

Charles along with his brothers, sister, and cousins were members of a traveling gymnastic group called " The Duredevils" established by his mother. They performed halftime events at the legendary Birmingham Black Baron baseball games. He was also employed with the Lucky Food Chain where he worked as a manager until he retired in Oakland, California.

He leaves to mourn one son, Leon Bragg, of Holland, Ohio; two daughters, Danielle H. Parker of California and Stacey Parker Tyson of Georgia; two grandsons, Zach and Titus; one granddaughter, Cierra; and one great grandson, Sincere; one sister, Theresa Jennings of Birmingham, Alabama; two brothers, Cleveland Parker of Birmingham, Alabama and Andre K. Parker ( Frankie) of Birmingham, Alabama; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
