Catherine Elizabeth Murray "Little Sister" began her life journey on December 31, 1927, as the eighth child to the late Catherine
Brothers and Tom Baskett in Hooper City, outside of Birmingham, Alabama. Her commitment to Christ began at Jeffries Memorial Christian in Birmingham, Alabama, where she served as an usher, matron, and choir member for many years.

Catherine graduated from A.H. Parker High School in May 1947. She went on to get a Nursing Degree, and she served many years and retired
from South Highland Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She was devoted and loyal to her profession for over twenty years.

Catherine lived a fulfilling and purposeful life. She had a great love for the holidays, especially Christmas, with beautiful decorations and household ceramics mostly made by her. Cooking was always a treat, and she would serve an assortment of cakes and dishes to fill your belly with a smile.

Christ called her home Monday night, June 19, 2023.She was preceded In death by her parents, Tom and Catherine; sister, Bettie Lou; and brothers, James, Raleigh, John, Tom, Jr., Walter, and David

Catherine will always be remembered by: her daughter, Sandra Murray; sons, Harvey, Theodore, Anthony,
and Van, who was with her at her passing; twenty grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, other
relatives, and friends.
