Cassandra Colette Cade was born on August 2, 1969, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Edna Lois Cade and John Moore, Sr. At an early age, Cassandra confessed her faith in Jesus Christ and united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church Ishkooda, where she began her spiritual journey and developed a lifelong relationship with God. Her unwavering faith remained a source of strength and guidance throughout her life.
Cassandra was a proud graduate of the Birmingham City School System and attended Wenonah High School. She took great pride in her community, cherished her family deeply, and valued the many meaningful relationships she built throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Edna Lois Cade; her father, John Moore, Sr.; her sister, Santa Moore; and her beloved nephew, Michael J. Dawson.
As Cassandra entered eternal rest, she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Francesca (Jacqueline) Cade-Williams. She also leaves to mourn and celebrate her life her beloved siblings, Brenda Cade, Welden (Lakeisha) Cade, Jacqueline Moore, Yolanda (Lee) Patton, Jonathan Moore, and John Moore, Jr., all of Birmingham, Alabama. Her memory will also be forever cherished by her nieces and nephews, Cameron Cade, Erika Cade, Welden Cade, Jr., Jemarius Moore, Denzel Moore, Marvel Moore, Shannon Moore, and Shanaye Moore. In addition, Cassandra leaves a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her. Among those special friends are Franklin Smith and Tia Garner-Stewart, whose friendship and support meant so much throughout her life.
Cassandra’s kindness, strength, faith, and unconditional love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be deeply missed. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit and the impact she made on those around her will never be forgotten. We find comfort in knowing that she now rests in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, enjoying eternal peace.
