Carolyn Moses
Hardy
July 22, 1941 – October 23, 2022
Carolyn Hardy was born to Mattie Lee Moses in 1941
with siblings, Bebe Mclish, Yvonee Moses, Willie Steen
Moore, and Billy Boy Moore.
In Birmingham, Alabama, Mrs. Hardy attended A.H.
Parker High School. She went on and earned a Master's
Degree in Education, and she became an educator. Her
educational endeavors carried her from Birmingham to
New York where she met Booker T. Hardy in Harlem,
New York. married in Birmingham, Alabama,
where they conceived a son by the name of Banton
Pierre Hardy. She continued to teach for 25 years where
she earned many accolades such as Who's Who in
American Teachers three times in a row. Along with her
other endeavors in life, she was a model who started her
own dance school called the Variety School of Dance,
along with Rosalyn Waters, and she also worked for the
Peace Corps.
She attended faithfully New St. James Missionary
Baptist Church from her youth as one of the charter
members, and she worked faithfully on the usher board.
On October 23, 2022, she made her transition to glory.
