Carol Dobbins Seay was born May 12, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Katherine Meanes Jackson and Elbert Dobbins, Jr. She was the oldest to her other siblings, Orlando Dobbins, Maurice Jackson, and the late Darius Jackson. She was also blessed to have extended
siblings Dorothy Baker and Loretta Shabazz.

Affectionately known as "Hunny", Carol was a devoted member of Payne Chapel A.M.E. Church, and served until becoming a full-time caregiver to her late mother. Carol received her early education from Lane Elementary and Ullman High School. After graduation, she married the late Robert Seay Jr., and to this union four children, Aloysius, Tamiko, Late Enrico and Shauntese, were born. In February of 1989 they were so blessed to lovingly adopt their first grandchild, Simone.

Carol attended Jefferson State College and later worked for the Social Security Administration and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Seay Jr., and her third child, Enrico.

Carol departed this life on January 09, 2026.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted four children, Aloysius, Tamiko, Shauntese, and Simone; seven grandchildren, Justin, DeCarlos, Ayouna (JC), Nyah, Kayla (Demetrice), Sedrick, and Leah; one goddaughter, Valencia; three great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Karter, and Ahlani; her siblings Orlando Dobbins, Dorothy Baker, Maurice Jackson; special uncle Apostle Tommy D. Gregory; a devoted sister-in-law Letha Seay and niece Alicia Asberry, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
