Bobby Ray
Olive, Sr.
December 8, 1945 – November 15, 2025
Mr. Bobby R. Olive, Sr was born December 8, 1945 in Luverne, Alabama to the late Booker T. Olive and Idelia Woods Olive. He lived a life full of laughter, generosity, and genuine connection.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Bobby enjoyed casting a line and sharing stories, and was known by all for his outgoing spirit and warm smile. He had a remarkable gift: he never met a stranger. To him, every new face was simply a friend he hadn't made yet. His kindness, easy conversation in making others laugh, and genuine interest in others made people feel welcomed and valued. He built community everywhere he went, often without even realizing it.
Bobby left this world peacefully on November 15, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of friendship, compassion, and countless memories shared with those fortunate enough to have known him. He will be missed, but never forgotten.
Left behind to cherish his life are a loving wife, Vickie Reynolds Olive; three children from an early union, Faye Olive Giles, Bobby Olive, Jr, and Patricia Clay; stepdaughter, Anayi (Dennis) Norman; three sisters, Annie Jewel Fowler, Nellie Grace Turner, and Beatrice Croswell; brother, Jessie Lee Olive; seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jimmy Lee Olive, Freddy Hubert Olive, and Gene Hubert Olive.
