Senior Bishop Eugene Starks, a resident of Midfield, AL, passed away on May 16, 2024. He was 95 years old.
Bishop Starks was born on June 20, 1928 in Uniontown, AL. He was educated in the Alabama Public Schools System. Bishop Starks had a lifelong dedication to ministry. He began his gospel journey at Easonian Baptist Bible College, preaching the gospel for more than 75 years and served as as the State Bishop of Freewill Church of God in Christ and Pastor of FCOGIC-Midfield at the time of his death. A successful entrepreneur, Bishop Starks received many awards and accolades throughout his 22-year career with S and S sanitation disposal services and Primerica. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Starks, 4 daughters, 2 bonus daughters and 1 bonus son and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews
