Mrs. Bertha J. Martin, age 95, departed her earthly life on July 3, 2015. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Damascus Baptist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. She leaves to cherish her memories: several nieces and nephews, Sandra Amidah Akram and Earnest Jackson, Jr. of Montgomery, AL, who were also her caregivers; Rosa Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, Catherine Burks Brooks of Birmingham, AL, Sharon (Sylvester) Hudson of Mobile, AL, Louise McConoughead of Canton, OH, Dorothy (Melvin) Bethea of Cleveland, OH, Barbara (Hellord) Jones of Parkville, MD; brother-in-law, Isaiah Boyd of Birmingham, AL; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jackson of Montgomery, AL and Minnie Boyd Hall of Selma, AL; devoted cousins, Clifford (Sagusta) Dudley of Montgomery, AL; her Damascus Baptist Church family and other relatives and friends.
