Mr. Auguster Jackson, Sr. was born in Forkland, Alabama on July 02, 1931. He was the son of the late Helen Burkes and Dan Byrd. He passed away in Birmingham, Alabama on March 28, 2024.

He moved to Birmingham, Alabama after serving in the U.S. Army.

In 1974, Auguster married his wife of 50 years, Mrs. Mattie Jackson. Auguster worked at U.S. Steel for 25 years.

He leaves to mourn: his loving wife, Mattie Jackson; three sons, Theodore Jackson Belton (Deborah), Auguster Jackson, Jr. (Cletta), and Anthony D. Jackson (Terry); one daughter, Burma Lomax (James); two stepchildren, five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, eight, great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.
