Mrs. Arristean Louise Long, age 78, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington Business College and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Survivors include: her husband, Hossie Long; three sons, Hossie Long, Jr. (Vivian) of Madison, Alabama, Vincent Long and David Long (Tami) of Birmingham, Alabama; one daughter, Vonda Strong (Anthony) of Alpharetta, Georgia; a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, August 29, 2014 from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with entombment in Elmwood Mausoleum. Reverend Dr. Christopher M. Hamlin, officiating.
