Apostle James Graves, age 85, of Birmingham, Alabama transitioned from labour to reward on October 3, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Allenar Graves; sister, Francis Millner; and wife, the love of his life, Mary Ella Graves. He is survived by his children, Gail (Samuel) Hill, Veronica (Elder Paul) Mitchell, Elder Darryl (Phyllis) Graves, Carla (Reginold) McDonald and Michelle (Leon) Turner; three grandchildren, LaMia Turner, Reginold and Raven McDonald; a sister, Johnnie Mae Malden and a brother, Alfonso (Shirley) Graves. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon with services immediately following at West End Purity Holiness Church of God, 1245 Cotton Avenue S.W., Birmingham, Alabama 35211. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, Alabama.
