Anthony K. Mbugua, Age 49, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on July 20th, 2023.

Anthony "Tonny" Mbugua, was born to Tabitha W. Mbugua and Geoffrey M. Kagutha on July 3rd 1974 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Tonny was a graduate of Kikuyu Day High School and Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham Alabama.

Tonny lived in the Birmingham Alabama area since 1997, a city he loved dearly and the community that welcomed him. He worked in various businesses in the greater Birmingham area until his untimely death on July 20th, 2023.

Tonny is survived by his parents Geoffrey M. Kagutha and Tabitha W. Mbugua, His brothers; George M Kagutha (Kari) of Moorhead, Minnesota, Ernest K. Mbugua (Maryanne) Kenya, Chris Mbugua (Martha) Kenya, Raphael Mbugua (Mercy), Kenya. Nieces Marley and Rylee of Moorhead, MN, Jasmine and Chalice in Kenya, Nephew Jeffrey, Killion in Kenya, and a host of family and friends all over the world who will always cherish him.

Special thanks to the family and friends, especially the Birmingham, AL community, who have rallied around the family to ease the burden as we lay Tonny to rest and medical staff at UAB who took care of him.
