Annie Jean Moore Stewart, age 77, departed this life on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Annie Jean, owner of Stewart Insurance Agency, was a native and life-long resident of Birmingham, Alabama. She was educated in the Birmingham City School system, graduating from Tuggle Elementary and Parker High School. She was also an active alumnus and graduate of Miles College, and received numerous awards and recognitions for her involvement in the West End community. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Willie Lee Stewart. She is survived by her loving daughters, Lisa S. Lee (Albert), Sonya T. Stewart and Kerri S. Eaton (Kataka); grandchildren, Courtney, Zahir, Maia and Assata. Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
