Annie Ruth Hooper was born on October 8, 1926, and lived a life of faith and devotion. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained a dedicated member of Oak Street Baptist Church throughout her life.

On February 26, 2025, Annie peacefully passed away in Birmingham, Alabama, at Fair Haven Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Andre J. Hooper, and her daughter, Karen A. Hooper.

She leaves to cherish her memory her nephews, James (Mary) Roberson, Kevin Roberson, and Terry Roberson; nieces, Beverly Owens, Chrisetta Turner, and Gennetter Smith; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will remember her with love.
