Mrs. Annie Kate Gardner, age 93, departed this life June 25, 2014. Family Hour will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 7:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Smith & Gaston Southside Chapel. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 143 Seminole Circle, Fairfield, Alabama. Rev. David Craig, officiating. Interment in Carver Cemetery. She leaves to cherish: one daughter, Sherry Woods (Duke) of Fairfield, AL; four sons, Maurice Gardner (Robbie) of Columbus, OH, Bernard Gardner of Midfield, AL, Terry Gardner of Birmingham, AL and Henry Gardner (Renea) of Fairfield, AL; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; nieces, Gloria Holmes, Janette Marsh, Jacqueline Prude, Ola Bell McBride, Aletha M. Gardner, Mary Diane Waites, Susan Johns and Earnestine Durant; nephews, Harold Gardner, Regi Gardner and Joseph (Winfred) Jackson; a host of cousins and friends. Smith & Gaston Southside directing.
