Our precious mother, Anga Lee Roberts - Varner, 67, quietly departed this life Saturday, December 18, 2021, at home. Born December 6, 1954, in Tampa, Florida, she was the daughter of the late James Rallie Roberts and Margaret Rose Best – Roberts.
She attended the public schools of Little Rock, Arkansas. She worked occasionally as a security guard and devoted her life to her treasured children and grandchildren. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ in her late 20s, and then continued to earn certificates, accreditations, and awards in biblical teachings. She had a generous spirit and an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, ultimately spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Lanear Varner, her children, Aisha (Kenneth) Jefferson (Jacksonville, FL), Melissa Williams (Birmingham, AL), Janga (Garrett) Anthony (Charlotte, NC), Tellisa Young (Birmingham, AL), Tellena (Octavious) Owens (Birmingham, AL), Joshua Young (Birmingham, AL), Elisha (Breana) Young (Birmingham, AL), her brothers, James Rallie Roberts Jr. (West Virginia) and James Timothy Roberts (Arkansas), 42 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces/nephews; great-nieces/nephews, several step-brothers and sisters in various
locations, adoptive family members, and special friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Larissa (Quinton); son-in-law, Kenneth (Aisha); granddaughter, Kamerynn; grandson, Jayson; granddaughter, Mina; grandson, Christian; grandson, Anthony. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, family and friends.
